VES for Insurers and Underwriters
This page explains how evidence exported under the Veriscopic Evidence Standard (VES) is intended to be reviewed and relied upon in underwriting, assurance, and claims contexts.
What VES provides
- Evidence that has not been altered since export
- Predictable structure across evidence packs
- Independent integrity verification without platform reliance
What VES does not provide
- Compliance certification or regulatory conclusions
- Risk scores, ratings, or adequacy judgements
- Coverage, liability, or legal determinations
Reliance semantics
Intended reliance posture
VES supports reasonable reliance on the integrity, existence, and structure of governance evidence at the stated time. Interpretation and judgement remain the responsibility of the reviewer.
Typical insurer use
- Supporting material in underwriting review
- Reducing uncertainty in post-incident assessment
- Verifying evidence supplied during disputes or inquiry
Further reading
VES supports insurer judgement. It does not replace it.
